Real people. Real local IT support.
IT Solutions is an independent computer repair centre based in Buxton, Derbyshire. No call centres, no corporate scripts — just a local person who knows computers and gives honest advice.
Meet Stuart
Hi, I'm Stuart. I set up IT Solutions back in 2005 and I've been fixing computers, looking after local businesses and building websites in Buxton and the surrounding area ever since.
Before IT Solutions, I'd been working with computers for years — and I realised there was a gap in Buxton for a proper, independent computer repair centre. Not a chain, not an online-only service, but a real place you could walk into with a broken laptop and walk out with it fixed (or at least with a clear idea of what was wrong).
Twenty years on, that's still what we do. I still speak to customers directly, I still look at every machine that comes in, and I still give people the same honest advice I always have: if it's worth fixing, I'll tell you. If it's not, I'll tell you that too.
What we stand for
The things that haven't changed in twenty years.
Honest advice
If your computer isn't worth fixing, we'll tell you. If you don't need the expensive option, we'll say so. We'd rather you trust us than make a quick buck.
Personal service
You speak to the person who's actually working on your computer. No being passed around, no reference numbers, no corporate scripts.
Local and independent
We're based on Hardwick Street in Buxton and we've been part of the local community since 2005. We're not going anywhere.
A real repair centre, not a counter
We've got a proper workshop at Burlington House on Hardwick Street — not just a desk where someone takes your computer and sends it off somewhere else. When you bring your machine in, it's looked at here, by us, in Buxton.

- Free, no-obligation diagnosis on most repairs
- Repairs carried out on the premises where possible
